Your wedding reception

Cannizaro House offers a diverse and romantic choice of spaces in which to celebrate your wedding day. Whether you’re thinking big or preferring small, we have a stunning space that will be the blank canvas allowing your imagination to soar.

Our team are the wedding experts who can help you choose the space that will allow you to create the most magical and memorable day you can imagine. They’ll be on hand to advise you when you meet with us to look over our hotel.

Your Civil Ceremony
The Queen Elizabeth Suite is licensed to hold your wedding ceremony for a maximum of 66 guests and the Viscount Melville Suite is licensed for ceremonies of up to 100 guests. You will need to prebook the Registrar once the date has been confirmed and pay all monies directly to them.

Your Drinks Reception
Our elegant and contemporary Drawing Room with its impressive, sweeping staircase is a perfect setting to greet your guests at your drinks reception. Outside, a large terrace overlooks Cannizaro Park where, weather permitting, drinks and canapés can be served. Alternatively, if  the ceremony is to be held elsewhere, the Queen Elizabeth Suite, although maybe not the Monarch herself, is available for your drinks reception.

Your Wedding Reception
We work from the very simple philosophy that every wedding should be individual and that your wedding should be tailored to your dreams and aspirations. With this in mind, we won't try  to sell you a pre-arranged package for a particular price but, instead, work with you to realise your dreams within your budget. However, as a guide, a typical cost for a wedding at Cannizaro House is likely to be in the region of £125.00 per head.

Your Evening Reception
After dinner in The Viscount Melville Suite, guests are directed to The Queen Elizabeth Suite where coffee and your wedding cake can be served. Alternatively, your evening guests can be met here for a welcoming drink. During this time, The Viscount Melville Suite is prepared for the evening. The dance floor is laid, casual seating set up and the private bar prepared. The Viscount Melville Suite can accommodate 120 for the evening reception.

Accommodation
Cannizaro House has 46 bedrooms, each individually designed and furnished. Please see the 'Sleeping' section for further details. Special accommodation rates, including breakfast, are available for  guests attending the Wedding Reception. A number of bedrooms may be held provisionally.
