We have argued long and hard about letting you know about other places to eat in our neighbourhood. If you’re with us for a night, don’t you dare. If you are with us for a few days we may let you! We might even drive you there. Here are some suggestions.
After an exhausting trip round the shops or an invigorating walk across the common, why not visit the Crooked Billet pub, which serves great local ales and traditional pub food? Crooked Billet - 15 Crooked Billet, Wimbledon, SW19 4RQ - 020 8946 4942.
Or you could try The Fire Stables - 27-29 Church Road, Wimbledon, SW19 5DQ - 020 8946 3197 This contemporary European gastropub and dining room serves fantastic food and is the only pub in the Borough to be listed and reviewed in the 2005 Michelin Pub Guide
There is so much to do around our neighbourhood. We also thought we would give you some ideas of shops, walks, generally things we like to do in the area. If what you fancy isn’t on this list though, just ask one of the team and they’ll be able to help you out.
On a sunny day there isn’t much better escape from everyday city life than an amble around some of the 1,140 acres of Wimbledon Common. If you fancy, we can arrange a horse to ride around on, or if that’s a bit daunting you are more than welcome to borrow one of our bikes. We can even pack up a picnic to take with you. www.wpcc.org.uk
Wimbledon Village has some of the best boutique shopping in London. We have all enjoyed a couple of hours of indulgence on pay day, although ended up going home with slightly lighter pockets than we had intended!
